Nathan Visits The Tree Lot

We were lucky enough to be graced with some beautiful dry weather for setting up the tree lot this year. So Nathan and I bundled up and went to work, helping Daddy with a few projects and tending to the asthetical touches that we so love to tinker with.

Between sleeping, feeding and changing in the car and being worn in the carrier, this chunky monkey of ours does pretty well. However it is a fine line between laughing and crying at this stage so we manage our narrow window of opportinity with as much attention as possible.

Wow..look at those cheeks!

Nadya's Birthday Lunch

I had such a great birthday! The day was sunny and beautiful, I met a small group of family and friends for lunch, took a nice long walk in the neighborhood and was treated by my husband to a few of my favorite things..... Sushi, Wine - in this case in it's sparkeling form of Champagne, decadent Chocolate Cake, and flowers to boot. We still had to take turns eating since Nathan is still having some evening fussiness, but he is so amazingly precious we didn't mind.

Looking a bit tired but ohh so happy to have a birthday outing with my ladies.

Oma Elze happy to have this little sleeping Buddah on her lap.

Tante Lesle cheering on Nathan's post lunch flatchulance.

Lisa and Emmerson have some play time as we all visited over our delicous Grand Central desserts and coffee.

What a Great Day! Thanks Everyone!!

Home Improvements

This summer we had the house painted and my what a little paint can do for a place. Below is the BEFORE shot in it's charming White w/ Purple trim. Here is the AFTER...

Couldn't resist sharing our fabulous felines as they find new places to sleep as the cold temperatures creep in. Anchovy here found my fall leaf collection a great place to nap.

Kelly here hasn't been shy at all about seeking out the baby's rocker and changing table for favorites.

Week 4

On Sunday 11/3 we had an Open House Celebration for all of our friends to meet Nathan. He did so well with all the company... especially being passed from arm to arm throughout the evening. Unfortunatley I was too engrossed in some much needed social time that the only photo of the night is below, just before we all headed off to bed.

Cuddle time with Dad.

Ahh...the developing mind!

Week 3

Week 3 has brought on some new challenges in the fuss department... Nathan is still getting used to his new body as it grows rapidly with his many feedings and naps.

Nathan accepts his first bottle feeding from Dad.

Checking out his new "Art Cube" from Grammy while having some Tummy Time.

Precious little hands!

Sweet Dreams!

Krugers Pumkin Patch

Our annual visit to Krugers Pumpkin Patch on Sauvies Island was even more special, having Nathan this year. Even so he's too little to appreciate it, we collected our favorites: pumpkins, squash, veggies and kettle corn!

Nathan is a great little traveler thus far but it's a delicate balance with him wanting to eat every 2 hours or less. Especially since we are both still getting the hang of breastfeeding, accomplishing this in public is still a bit of a challenge.

First Outing

Our first adventure in The Moby Wrap....
Snug as a Bug!

Here we are at the Portland Nursery Apple Fest.

Wow! Look at those Daddies with their beloved next generation. Lamont with Aoife, Scot with Charlotte, and Drew with Nathan.

Week 1

Well, our first week with Nathan has been wonderful and challenging all at the same time. He's really such a great baby and getting to know him and his sounds, expressions and ways of being really trump any of the newborn challenges that are a part of our journey together.

He just started opening his eyes more regularly this weekend.

I need to work on my camera skills to get some close-ups without the blur!

Good Morning Little Man!
