The Baby Room

It's been such an enjoyable project to prepare for babies arrival that I thought I'd share the results of our efforts to create a new and fresh space for Baby Burchette. Thanks again Andrea (Grandma Burchette) for gifting us the very lovely and personal family artwork.

The sled style crib in Espresso was high on the wish list..thanks to our parents we were able to incorporate this lovely piece. We just hope baby likes it as much as we do!

I just love the "Damascus Cow" painting! As you can see, this little guy is coming into the world with a warm welcome of fuzzy friends by his side.

The earth tones of the room come together here in my favorite blues, greens, chocoates and vanilla.

Baby Shower

We had fun celebrating Baby Burchette over a Sunday Brunch at Tamara's house. It was great having all us girls together again and Tamara created a really fun Q & A game about Drew and I and our thoughts of baby/parenting. Thanks Drew for being such a good sport! Glad to know that we are both in aggreement about "Morpheus" not being the babies name.

36 weeks!

Well, here I am at 36 weeks heading to my Baby Shower. Not too much to report...my belly is continuing to grow taking on a nice basket ball appearance. With a month to the due date, my nesting instincts have kicked in..look out junk drawer, here I come!

Fun on Sauvies

On our last Sauvies Island kiting outing, we had fun with our niece and nephews as they flew the trainer kite for the first time. The cool air and shortening daylight were evidence of Falls grace upon us as we roasted our corn and hotdogs on the beach for probably the last time this season.
Eva and Nadya enjoying the beach while the guys kite their little hearts out!
