We started this warm holiday weekend in the company of good friends. With delicious food and drinks, backyard water play and a few games of 'Corn Hole', what more could one ask for?

Cruising
Here's a short little clip of Nathan practicing his new moves. This was taken a few weeks ago and my goodness he's already so much more agile and balanced.

Garden Progress
Ohhh, how I love the garden! And believe it or not, I almost didn't plant this year wondering if I could handle the extra work. Well, I did, and I'm so glad. I just love to head out in the morning with coffee in hand to admire and talk to my plants. Oh and the bugs! Some I curse but most I love. In fact I saw the coolest large beetle hiding by the mailbox of all places. Sorry, no picture but definatley unique. So below is a progression of pictures from prepping the beds through June. My how the garden grows!
Beautiful Apple Blossoms in April
Beds resting before planting
Early planting this year - May 1st
The tomatoes were given water cloques to stay warm
With May's warm weather I started to remove the cloques on most around the 18th.
June - one month later
End of June early July - the tomatoes are at the top of their cages - Amazing!
Ahh, the fruits are on their way
Eating our way through to make room for the squash
This bounty of Kale made several good meals
Spinach and Beet Greens
One of two summer squash plants
Pole beans just getting their momentum
Stay tuned for more garden pics! The tomato jungle looks plentiful!
Salads, Pasta and Salsa Oh My!
